چکیده

A new calibration algorithm for multi-camera systems using planar reference patterns is proposed. The algorithm is an extension of Zhang’s flexible calibration technique to the cases with multiple cameras. Rigid displacements between cameras are recovered as well as intrinsic camera parameters only by showing the cameras a model plane with known reference patterns placed at several locations. Thus the algorithm yields a simle calibration means for stereo vision systems with arbitrary number of cameras while maintaining the handiness and flexibility of Zhang’s method. The algorithm is based on factorization of homographies between the model plane and the image plane into camera and plane parameters. The validity of the proposed technique is verified by simulation and real experiments.

Robust Calibration of Camera-Projector System for Multi-Planar Displays

We present a robust calibration method for aligning a camera-projector system to multiple planar surfaces. Unlike prior work, we do not recover the 3D scene geometry, nor do we assume knowledge of projector or camera position. We recover the mapping between the projector and each surface in three stages. In the first stage, we recover planar homographies between the projector and the camera thr...

A Single-shot Camera-Projector Calibration System For Imperfect Planar Targets

Existing camera-projector calibration methods typically warp feature points from a camera image to a projector image using estimated homographies, and often suffer from errors in camera parameters and noise due to imperfect planarity of the calibration target. In this paper we propose a simple yet robust solution that explicitly deals with these challenges. Following the structured light (SL) c...

Plane-based Calibration Algorithm for Multi-camera Systems via Factorization of Homography Matrices

A new calibration algorithm for multi-camera systems using a planar reference pattern is proposed. The algorithm is an extension of Sturm-Maybank-Zhang style plane-based calibration technique for use with multiple cameras. Rigid displacements between the cameras are recovered as well as the intrinsic parameters only by capturing with the cameras a model plane with known reference points placed ...

Camera calibration using reflections in planar mirrors and object reconstruction using volume carving method

A calibration and three-dimensional (3D) reconstruction method is presented based on images reflected from planar mirrors and acquired with one camera. The geometric model of the camera–mirror set and a method of calibrating it are described. The calibration technique computes the model parameters using linear equations, and it is proved that the calibration is possible with the knowledge of on...

Collaborative color calibration for multi-camera systems

This paper proposes a collaborative color calibration method for multi-camera systems. The multi-camera color calibration problem is formulated as an overdetermined linear system, in which a dynamic range shaping is incorporated to ensure the high contrasts for captured images. The cameras are calibrated with the parameters obtained by solving the linear system. For non-planar multi-camera syst...
